Eligible Users – France
- Any French institutional entity is eligible for DINAMIS membership. Once the entity has joined DINAMIS, its statutory members* who have created a DINAMIS account are considered “Authorized Institutional Users” (AIU): scientific actors (universities, research laboratories, educational institutions, etc.) and public actors (government, ministerial, regional, departmental, territorial, municipal entities, etc.), regardless of their geographical location.
- NGOs based in France with a public service or public interest mission are eligible for DINAMIS membership. Once the Entity has joined DINAMIS, any statutory member* who has created a DINAMIS Account is considered an Authorized Institutional User (AIU).
- Private entities based in France that are public service providers or carry out research and development projects are eligible for DINAMIS membership. Once the Entity has joined DINAMIS, any statutory member* who has created a DINAMIS Account is considered an Authorized Institutional User (AIU) for the duration of the service or R&D project.
*Nationality restrictions may apply to access services for Pléiades and Pleiades Neo.
Membership Procedure
The procedure for joining the Facility is carried out online directly from the DINAMIS Catalog, under the “Sign in” menu. The Online Membership Form page describes the procedure. A user account must then be created in order to access DINAMIS services.
For private entities involved in R&D: a description of the R&D project must be provided and attached during the procedure.
Access conditions, cost
Products available for download from the DINAMIS Catalog: Pléiades, Pleiades Neo, or Spot 6-7 data with very high spatial resolution already acquired by DINAMIS users are listed in the Catalog. They can be downloaded free of charge by AIUs.
Requests for new data to be acquired: data to be acquired on geographical areas of their choice (archives and programming requests) are granted to AIUs according to the following terms and conditions:
- Institutional AIUs and Public Procurement Providers: Application to be submitted to DINAMIS and free quota if the application is accepted. Beyond this quota, applications are subject to preferential institutional pricing (public actors, public procurement providers) or co-financing (scientific actors).
- AIUs such as NGOs or Private Entities for R&D: Applications to be submitted to DINAMIS and preferential institutional pricing if the Application is accepted (no free quota).
Eligible Users – European Union and International
Scientific entities (public research laboratories, universities) in the European Union and associated countries (Great Britain, Switzerland, Sweden, Andorra) and other countries around the world are eligible for DINAMIS membership. Once an entity has joined DINAMIS, its statutory members* who have created a DINAMIS account are considered “Authorized Institutional Users” (AIUs).
*Nationality restrictions may apply to access services for Pléiades and Pleiades Neo.
Membership Procedure
The procedure for joining the Facility is carried out online directly from the DINAMIS Catalog, under the “Sign in” menu. The Online Registration Page describes the procedure. A user account must then be created in order to access DINAMIS services. A Membership Description Document must be completed and attached during the procedure.
Acceptance of the membership application is subject to further review by Airbus in the case of Spot 6-7, and by CNES for Pléiades and Pleiades Neo.
Access conditions, cost
AIUs in the European Union, countries assimilated to the EU, and international AIUs have free access to the download service for products already purchased from the DINAMIS Catalog.
AIUs in the European Union and countries assimilated to the EU have access to Pléiades archives and programming orders without any free quota: preferential institutional pricing applies.
International AIUs members outside the EU and EU associated countries do not have access to requests for new imagery (archives, programming).
However, as part of its activities to supoprt the use of Earth Observation , DINAMIS is working with its founding members (notably IRD and CIRAD) and its partners (notably AFD) to set up quotas dedicated to countries known as the “Global South.”
The Facility will communicate any changes leading to the extension of its services to scientists in Southern countries.
