SPOT 6-7 | Launch of National Coverage 2024

As every year since 2015, the Spot 6-7 acquisition campaign over mainland France at 1.5 m spatial resolution has begun. This year, the first acquisition attempts began on March 19, 2024. After 7 weeks of programming and acquisitions, and a poor weather forecast in April, 28 meshes have already been acquired out of the 240 that make up the territory.

Launched in 2011, the idea of covering the whole of mainland France every year is designed to meet the needs of research and provide appropriate responses to public policies on planning and environmental monitoring.

The entire 2024 Spot 6-7 coverage should be completed by September/October 2024 at the latest. The products will then be sent to IGN for mass ortho rectification to make them RGE® (Référentiel à grande échelle) compatible.

Pending delivery of the 2024 vintage, rectified Spot 6-7 ortho products generated with the DINAMIS Multi-Mission terminal in Montpellier (IGN references) will be added to the DINAMIS catalog as they become available.
