In 2023, DINAMIS and Airbus launched an open data experiment focused on the Eastern Pyrénées (France) and Spot 6/7 datasets.
This operation is expected to be extended to Pleiades Neo datasets, within a broader framework of inter-agency collaboration involving the French Scientific Committee on Desertification. Stay tuned for future developments.
« Drought in Pyrénées Orientales » 2023 Open Data Experiment

As part of its Drought initiative, Airbus is scheduling the SPOT satellite every month from May to December 2023 to enable the study of drought in the Pyrénées-Orientales department from space.
The images are made available free of charge and as open data to regional and economic decision-makers, the scientific and academic community, and private entities whose technological solutions can support those involved in monitoring this crisis.
DINAMIS, a partner in this initiative, is performing RGE-compatible orthorectification of the images acquired during this campaign, in accordance with the procedures and quality standards applied to its annual metropolitan coverage (IGN partner).
Products distributed: monthly orthorectified coverage of the Pyrénées-Orientales Department (France), from May to December.
DINAMIS distributes orthorectified open data products via the following link (French language only): https://openspot-dinamis.data-terra.org/PO.
The merged data is distributed in 16 bits. Users interested in 8-bit data can send a request to images-satellites@ign.fr.
Licenses associated with the distributed products: Etalab2
To download the data, users must fill out a very simple form, which is used to track the overall distribution of the data for statistical purposes.
We will keep the user community informed of new open data from the Pyrénées Orientales region as it becomes available, via news published on the website and posts on the DINAMIS LinkedIn network.
The license associated with the products allows anyone who wishes to do so to access them, in the spirit of the Drought initiative.
