Open Data: Spot 6-7, open data for innovation

Since October 2023, orthorectified Spot 6-7 coverage products for mainland France have been available in Open Data https://openspot-dinamis.data-terra.org.

This experiment, carried out by DINAMIS with the support of Airbus, is in response to user demand for data openness. It aims to facilitate and stimulate innovation and the development of new information services at local and national levels, based on Spot 6-7 data time series.

In response to growing user interest, since mid-July 2024 we have also been broadcasting this data in 1.5m Merged Mode (PanSharpened).

Good news: since the beginning of 2025, we have added the years 2017 & 2018.

The years 2017 to 2023 are now available in Open-Data on https://openspot-dinamis.data-terra.org/ by selecting the “Fusion (1.5m)” Mode.

We will continue to distribute previous years throughout 2025.

Merged or PanSharpened data are products that combine the visual information of Multispectral data with the spatial information of Panchromatic data, providing a high-resolution color product at 1.5 meters.
