Spot 6-7 | Metropolitan France Coverage 2025 – Completed

DINAMIS is pleased to announce the completion of the 2025 Metropolitan France coverage at very high spatial resolution by the Spot 6 satellite (acquired between March 1, 2025, and October 12, 2025). Final product processing is currently underway at IGN.

The Metropolitan France coverage will be available online in the DINAMIS catalog at https://dinamis.data-terra.org/ in early 2026.

In total, 240 grid cells were acquired, representing more than 243 scenes acquired and validated between March 1 and October 12, 2025, which were subsequently orthorectified by IGN with a spatial resolution of 1.5 m for the PANchromatic collection and 6 m for the MultiSpectral collection.

To achieve this result, following a remarkable start during the initial weeks, we encountered meteorological challenges in completing this coverage. However, through the significant commitment of all stakeholders (ADS for optimal satellite programming, IGN for scene validation and overlap management, IRD and INRAE for operational data reception), we successfully finalized the coverage with minimal overlap.

The Metropolitan coverage data are accessible in raw format (non-orthorectified) in the DINAMIS catalog, along with data from previous years.

The mosaicked 2025 National Coverage will also be available in the first quarter of 2026 in Open Data format, alongside previous editions, at https://openspot-dinamis.data-terra.org/ and on the IGN GéoPlateforme.
